Childhood

                                               His Childhood

Tezuka was very lucky as a child, as he grew up in a rich family. As a child, his mother often took him to many plays and musicals at the Takarazuka Grand Theater, which was unfortunately destroyed recently. :C The costumes the performers wore influenced the appearances of many of Tezuka's characters.

His father showed Tezuka many Disney movies when he was young, but the most significant of these had to of been Bambi, as he had watched it more than eighty times! Later, Tezuka used Bambi as the main inspiration for his manga, unsurprisingly.
